Tour of Sufferlandria prep plans are live!

The Tour of Sufferlandria, our annual fundraiser to benefit the Davis Phinney Foundation and their programs that help those affected by Parkinson’s Disease, kicks off on February 27th. To help you get in Tour-winning form, the coaches at Wahoo Sports Science have designed a Tour Prep Training Plan, available now in the Wahoo SYSTM training app. Choose how much time you have to train, add strength training, and get ready to crush the Tour.

Plans start on January 3rd, include testing in the first week to set your 4DP profile, and finish on February 26th. Just in time for you to tackle the 7 stages that make up this year’s Tour.

To apply the plans, go to the Plans tab in the app and select Cycling > Tour of Sufferlandria. Choose low, medium, or high volume options, then add strength training to take advantage of SYSTM’s comprehensive approach. Alternatively, you can just click this link, which will open the app to the appropriate plans.

Thanks for the plan. I’ve added the high volume prep plan to my calendar. For some reason I get Half The Road on both Sun 9th Jan and Sat 5th Feb. No matter - I’ll just swap one of them for All For One which appears to be basically the same from a training point of view.

I also get Fursa twice too. Weird!

I’m not seeing the option to add yoga & mental training to the plan, I only get strength as an optional add-on.

Thanks for the catch. Post updated. There was originally meant to be yoga and mental training options but those didn’t make it in. You can still choose to apply the stand-alone yoga and mental training plans under the Cross-Training category in the plan builder.

@dylan.robbins The strength levels should be 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Right now they show as 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, 3a, 3b - which follows the levels for the legacy SUF strength levels.

I am doing the Tour prep plan, and I did the Full Frontal instead of the Half Monty in week 1 (Half Monty always seems to over-estimate my abilities, plus my NM has definitely decreased since the last time I did Full Frontal!). My Full Frontal results changed my rider type from Pursuiter to Sprinter. Is there any way to update my plan to reflect this? I’m not sure how much it changes things, but if I try to apply a new plan now, it pushes back the dates considerably, so I don’t want to do that.

@robynm You can delete a plan and then add it again but choose the end date to match the end date of your previous plan.
