How many weeks before my A-Race do you recommend I complete your 16 week training plan? What do you recommend doing between completion of the training plan and your A-Race?
I’m pretty self-sufficient, completed eight 70.3’s and one 140.6 over the past 4 years, and did three virtual IM 70.3’s this summer during lock-down.
I really like the balance of indoor/outdoor training, strength, mental toughness, and nutrition, but was looking for just a little more guidance.
At first glance, it looks like your 16 week training plan is designed as the base 2/3 and build phases of a traditional training plan. I’m also guessing that the All-in Triathlon plan is designed as a supplement for Base 1. Is this correct?
If this is correct, then I’m also guessing the only thing missing from your program are the Peak and Race week portions of a traditional periodization plan, which means I should target to complete your training plan 2-3 weeks before my A-Race.
